We hope you all had a wonderful summer! It’s now time to start thinking about the upcoming CAPL Annual Conference!
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
On behalf of the CAPL 2025 Annual Conference organizing committee, I am excited to announce that the Call for Abstracts is now open! We invite submissions for the upcoming conference, which will be held from May 4-7, 2025, at the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, in Montreal, QC.
The deadline for abstract submissions is November 24, 2024. Don’t miss the opportunity to share your work with professionals and peers in the field.
To submit an abstract for the 2025 Annual Conference, please click HERE.
Due to the expected high volume of submissions, acceptance of abstracts will be competitive, and not all can be accepted.
POSTER CONTEST
All poster abstracts presented by residents will automatically be entered into the Poster Contest. Posters will be evaluated based on presentation, content, organization, and overall Impression.
Once your abstract is accepted, you will receive guidelines to assist you in preparing your poster.
FELLOWSHIP AWARD
The CAPL Fellowship is awarded to one outstanding trainee, who is expected to give a solo presentation on an important and current topic in forensic psychiatry at the CAPL Annual Conference. The recipient will receive a certificate of award and reimbursement of expenses for presenting (transportation, accommodation, and registration fee to the conference).
Candidates are eligible if they are currently PGY-4, PGY-5, or PGY-6 in a Canadian residency training program. The deadline for applications is November 24, 2024.
